With the recent releaes by the Royal Australian Mint of a number of the new release KCIII coins in mint rolls, there is a chance that this $1 Coin roll might be the sleeper amongst them all.
The Mint's directive was to distribute the new KCIII effigy coins to as many Australians as possible and they originally released the KCIII dollar dated 2023 in rolls. 2024 $2 and 5c denominations have previously been released in rolls and all 2024 denominations have also been released as part of the 2024 roll set.
The 2024 $1 roll looks like it may only be released as part of the 2024 roll set because of this and with the popularity of the roll sets being only average as many customers had already got rolls released earlier, this $1 oin roll for 2024 may be the lowest number release of all of them.
And while we do not know what the final mintages will be, with 2023 $1 KCIII coins already released, the 2024 dated coins may not be as big a mintage as otherwise would be.
This is only a guess on our part and information about releases from the mint is as hard to get as rocking horse poo! But we think it may be a good buy.
