DETAILS
In 2001 Australia Celebrated the Centenary of Federation, the Royal Australian Mint released a commemorative 50c bearing the Coat of Arms for Each State and Territory.
The Coat of Arms of South Australia proclaimed in 1984, features the State name, South Australia on an ornate scroll that overlays a collage of symbols of the agricultural and industrial base on which the state was founded. Sitting on the grassy mound is a shield with the State Basge, the Piping Shrike. Immidiately above the shield sitting on a wreath are four sprigs of crismson Sturt's Desert Pea, the State's beautiful floral emblem that flowers throughout the interier of South Australia.
