Surf Lifesaving is an integral part of the Australian beach scene and as an organistaion has over 113,000 members and saved over 500,000 lives around Australia.

The 2007 Proof Year Set will include a special $1 coin design featuring the spectacular image of a team rescue. This $1 coin is not  available in the 2007 Uncirculated Year Set.
