Motorsport is a part of Holden's DNA, having raced its vehicles in Australia and overseas with remarkable success for more than 50 years. Holden's Monaro set the scene for years of on-track dominance of the Bathurst race, with a 1-2-3 outright finish in the 1968 event. Since then, the 'General' has been a mainstay on race tracks around the country, from stock-standard production cars, to highly-modified versions of its road-going counterparts, and the current iteration of purpose- built racing machines. Cars have always been a hot topic in collectibles, and this series is no exception.
