Released by the Royal Australian Mint in collaboration with Woolworths and the Australian Olympic Committee in celebration of the excitement of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, this is one of 4 coins released into circulation through the Woolworth tills.

Preserve your very own slice of Paralympic history with this coloured $2 coin from the Royal Australian Mint and Paralympics Australia; celebrating the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Our best Para-athletes represented Australia at the Games from 28 August to 8 September 2024. These Games were the first Summer Paralympic Games held in Paris and feature sports including boccia, wheelchair tennis, Para-swimming and wheelchair rugby. The reverse design features team mascot Lizzie playing Paralympic sport Goalball. It also includes the Paralympics Australia Celebration mark created to complement the First Nations story, it visually represents community and the world coming together in shared celebration of sporting achievement.
